Exhibition of the "Kome" by Geys - Artworks in Several Copies at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium from 20 April to 8 July
"Kome" refutes the notion of multiple or unique work of art in favour of works of art in multiple copies.
With each intervention by Geys depending on the location or on a specific thematic, the display of the artworks will be a work of art in itself, an installation exceeding the “Kome” and becoming therefore a unique work of art
Geys was born near Leopoldsburg (Kempen, Belgium) where he has created his work on a specific-general line, to tell a story that combines three key elements in the life of a Human being:
- his personal life
- his local environment
- his relationship to the world

Geys connects to a form of art which, via various camouflages, repudiates at first any interpretation thus putting into question the hegemony of a form such as criticism (whether his or others’).
