MUSEUM OF COUNTRY LIFE

Time seems to have been standing still over here. Classes, mills, agriculture, forge, dairy, craftsmen's workshops describe the life of the past which we discover by means of tools and machinery that are worn away by the many gestures repeated over a thousand times. More than 40 rooms tell us about the life of a period in which everything was difficult.

For school groups or groups of adults: guided visits from April to October by appointment.
Beginning of May: farming and traditional market.
Activities in September.
Sundays before and after 21/7: activities at the museum: threshing in the traditional way, craftsmen at work,... Harvest suppers.
2nd weekend in September:: Saturday: Heritage day, giant barbecue, Sunday: celebrations at the museum: different activities.
Tours together with the Aubechies Archéosite, the Hospital N.D. à la Rose in Lessines, the Castle of Attre, the Castle of Beloeil, Chièvres...
Groups on request from 15/4 to 30/10 (9am to 7 pm).
